The earrings are designed as naturalistic frogs with bodies constructed in polychrome green enamel over a yellow gold body. The eyes are set with round ruby cabochons of medium-red saturation, each secured in small gold bezel settings. The yellow gold acts as the limbs and body outline, and is dotted throughout the frog, further making tension and contrast against the green, yellow, and red tones. The green enamel is extremely well done, textured and bumpy like a realistic frog. Much like a natural animal, the green coloring isn't even, it has a few dark green shades on its body to mimic reality. The vibrant green enamel, shiny gold, and bright red eyes bring the frog to life, and makes for a statement piece. It feels substantial and weighty, and can easily be admired from afar with its colors and close with its detail.
