Turquoise, Lapis Lazuli, Coral and Diamond Cluster Ring in 14k Yellow Gold

Large domed cluster ring in 18k yellow gold set with a turquoise cabochon at center, surrounded by concentric rings of marquise lapis lazuli, oval coral cabochons, smaller turquoise cabochons and round brilliant diamonds at the outer perimeter. The color combination is a classic mid-century palette, the deep navy of the lapis against the robin egg blue of the turquoise and the soft salmon-pink of the angel skin coral, all anchored by the warm yellow gold framework. The stones are well-matched within their respective groups and the overall composition reads as a stylized floral motif from the top.

The construction is notably complex, with each stone mounted on individual prong settings that radiate outward from the center on a fanned open gallery, giving the ring considerable height and a very three-dimensional profile. The underside shows the full extent of the spoke-and-rail framework holding everything together. This is the kind of labor-intensive multi-stone work associated with serious Italian or French ateliers working in the 1960s and early 1970s.
