A matched pair of button-style clip earrings, each executed as a circular domed form interpreting the taijitu (yin-yang) motif in two materials. The face of each earring is divided by a S-curve into two interlocking sections: a large carved black onyx element occupying the dominant portion of the face, polished to a uniform matte-gloss black with a smooth and flush surface, and a polished 18-karat yellow gold section curving upward from the lower register in the characteristic comma form, also domed and continuous with the overall profile.
