Vintage 1989 Cartier Colisee 18K Yellow Gold with Factory Diamond Ladies Watch

A ladies' Cartier Colisée wristwatch in solid 18k yellow gold, built on a round, gently domed case with a polished high-set bezel. The cream guilloché dial carries a fine wave engraving, a Roman numeral XII above dot indexes, slim gold hands, and the Cartier signature with Swiss designation at the foot. The watch is distinguished by its factory diamond lugs, a scalloped trefoil cluster of round brilliant diamonds set in beaded gold at both the twelve and six o'clock positions, each joined to the case by a single channel-set baguette diamond, framing the dial top and bottom. The crown is the Cartier beaded type capped with a round brilliant culet up, and the case back is gold, the whole reading crisp and well finished in the hand. The strap is a mix of leather, which feels great on the wrist, and the outerpart is a grossgrain strap. This is a very exclusive piece since all of it is gold and diamonds are completely factory, adding a little bit of elegance to a watch which is usually plated and plain.
